TRUE BLUE

Turns out, many of you had as much trouble seeing the blue puzzle piece for the latest “Guess The NHL Logo” contest, as the Red Wings did stopping the teal blue Sharks from beating them for a third straight time last night!  Unfortunately, we had some technical problems with various servers (fixed now!), which blacked out the puzzle piece for many of you.  SORRY ABOUT THAT! The show must go on however, and despite several guesses for the Canucks, Lightning,  Blues, and even the Peoria Chiefs (Slapshot!), the correct answer is the New York Rangers.  Brandon Corry, is the lucky winner of a FREE Original Retro Brand NHL t-shirt. Brandon was lucky enough to have his name drawn from the first 10 entries to have guessed the Rangers correctly.  Now that we have announced the latest winner, and have our technical difficulties under control (I think!), let’s proceed with the next puzzle piece….

Did anybody see HBO’s documentary on the Philadelphia Flyers  Broad Street Bullies last night? AMAZING!!  One of the best docs on hockey ever.  Maybe it will inspire Philly to get off the snide against the Bruins tonight.

The College Basketball Tournament starts today!!!! I know you knew that, but I can’t hold back my feelings of EXCITEMENT, JUBILATION, JOY, & NIRVANA!!! I’ve filled out packets of brackets, my 5 year old pointed to Missouri, and my own pet cat stuck her paw on Kentucky (they’re related!) to win it all!!  It’s pretty clear my cat has a better shot at winning than my son, and she’s not alone.  Many folks certainly have Kentucky going all the way, but a I believe a tad more have Kansas.  In honor of the Jayhawks excellence, Distant Replays is going to make the Rock Chalk, Jayhawk Kansas shirt our first “Tournament – T of the Day!”
